Moto Club de São Luís, usually known simply as Moto Club, is a Brazilian football (soccer) club based in São Luís, Maranhão. ==History== The club was founded on September 13, 1937, in São Luís, Maranhão state, as ''Ciclo Moto''. Initially the club competed only motorcycle competitions. In 1938, the club started its football section. In 1973, Moto Club de São Luís disputed the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A for the first time, finishing in the 39th position. In 1982, the club finished in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A's 28th position, which was the club's best place ever in the competition. From 1948 to 1955, Moto Club won seven state championships in a row.
